Who I am
My name is Sebastian, an eighth-grader at Kellenberg Latin School with a love of problem-solving, music, and moving water. In the classroom, I gravitate to math and science because I like proving ideas and building things that work. In the pool with the Long Island Aquatic Center (LIAC), I value consistency, practices, steady progress, and learning from every race. At the piano, I’ve earned New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Level 5 and perform at recitals, including at Adelphi University Performing Arts Center.
This past summer at The Hotchkiss School I dove into coding & software engineering and structural engineering/aircraft design. I enjoyed taking concepts from the whiteboard to working prototypes and models.
I believe boarding school will give me the opportunity to grow in a community where academics, athletics, and the arts are equally valued. I want to be part of a school where I can contribute as a teammate, performer, and student while learning from others who share the same drive.
Family trip to Lake Phuket Elephant Home in Thailand. This was a moment of connection and appreciation for wildlife.
